575: Entry 374

This is not a joke
Courage for self-improvement
Death is not funny

I have been guilty of chuckling at robust people at the gym, but I’ve realized it’s not actually funny. These people may already have a low self-image and suffer health problems. It takes courage to be in public to workout and equally as much to try breaking bad habits that may kill them. Admire and be respectful to these people because they’re doing the same thing you are doing, “self-improvement.”

575: Entry 373

I am not “challenged.”
Maybe you’re the “challenged” one?
This is your struggle.

The way we define others exhibiting different qualities as “challenged” bewilders me. Whether they’re a southpaw, blind, autistic, or physically deformed does not make them challenged. It is their normal life, and the one that is not used to interacting with them is challenged by how to act.
